This is your opportunity to join Macquarie University's Group Marketing team as an Events Partner, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the University's events landscape.
As Events Partner, you'll work at the intersection of creativity and strategy - managing the end-to-end design, planning, and delivery of events that showcase Macquarie's excellence to internal and external audiences. From large-scale University-wide events to bespoke Faculty engagements, you will bring fresh thinking, meticulous planning, and expert execution to every project.
With a collaborative and innovative team behind you, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on how Macquarie University engages with its community - from students and staff to external stakeholders and the wider public.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Events & Domestic Protocol, you will be responsible for managing the full event lifecycle - from concept development through to post-event analysis. You'll partner closely with Faculties and Offices across the University to deliver high-quality events that align with strategic objectives and enhance Macquarie's brand and reputation. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic events plans in collaboration with the Director, Events & Domestic Protocol
- Scoping, designing, and developing event concepts in consultation with key internal stakeholders, and contributing to University-wide and large-scale events
- Managing end-to-end event planning and implementation, including CRM site builds, event briefs, stakeholder engagement, and all associated delivery activities
- Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with stakeholders across Faculties and Offices, providing expert guidance on event planning and delivery
- Managing event production budgets ranging from $50k–$500k per year
- Developing and implementing WHS risk management plans for events
- Identifying new opportunities, innovations, and technologies from the events and experiential marketing industries to enhance University event activities
- Collaborating with Event Content and Group Marketing teams to source promotional materials and raise the profile of University events
- Reviewing, analysing, and reporting on event data to inform continuous improvement
About Us
