Executive Assistant

Applications are invited for a part-time Executive Assistant post supporting Professor Shivaji Sondhi. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of administrative and operational support within a busy research environment.

You will be responsible for a range of administrative processes, including diary and meeting management, processing expenses, and arranging travel. You will provide effective and proactive support through excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing complex diaries and providing comprehensive executive support. You will demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of accuracy. You will also have experience producing high-quality correspondence and administrative documentation, along with strong numeracy skills and experience in financial administration, including expenses and purchase orders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and to operate confidently within a demanding research environment.

This is a part-time post (up to 25 hours per week), offered on a fixed-term basis until 30 September 2027, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
