Faculty Position in NeuroMetabolism Research
The newly launched Rutgers Center for NeuroMetabolism (CNM), in collaboration with the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHINJ), the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology (NCB), and the Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI), invites applications for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Located within the transformative Rutgers HelixNJ complex, the CNM focuses on research at the intersection of neuroscience and metabolism, addressing disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, eating disorders, and related conditions.
The CNM aims to build a world-class research program, seeking dynamic researchers with expertise in neurometabolism, translational neuroscience, gut-brain interactions, or complementary fields. Requirements include a Doctoral Degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent). Assistant Professor applicants should demonstrate the ability to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program, while Associate/Full Professor applicants need an established federally funded program with a proven track record.
Benefits include access to state-of-the-art facilities, generous start-up packages, and a collaborative ecosystem. To apply, submit a Curriculum Vitae, Statement of Research Accomplishments and Future Plans, and contact information for three to five references to Dr. Zhiping Pang, Director, Rutgers Center for NeuroMetabolism, at pangzh@rwjms.rutgers.edu.
