Faculty Positions in Neuroscience at The Brain and Intelligence Research Institute

The newly established Brain and Intelligence Research Institute at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in China seeks applicants for multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at the rank from assistant professor to full professor. Candidates pursuing research in all areas of neuroscience are welcome to apply. These with expertise in the studies of synapse formation, function, and neuronal circuits; brain disorders mechanisms, biomarkers, and drug discoveries; information processing in the brain and in connection with computer and artificial intelligence are especially welcome. Joint appointments with other departments/thrusts of HKUST are encouraged.

HKUST is a young university with focus on research excellence. It has risen to a top ranked university in Asia in a short thirty years. HKUST recently established a new campus in Guangzhou, China, with the aim to promote cross-disciplinary and synergistic research with the same level of research excellence. Qualifications of Candidates:

Applicants should have a doctoral degree and relevant postdoctoral experience. Fresh PhD with exceptional record will also be considered. They will be expected to establish an independent, internationally recognized research program and contribute to the undergraduate and graduate education.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

Salary is highly competitive of international standard and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous start-up funding, ample laboratory space and excellent research equipment and support will be provided.
