Diversity & Inclusion Department Counseling and Human Services Job Purpose: The University of Scranton Department of Counseling and Human Services invites applications for an in-person, full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track Faculty Specialist position starting in August 2027. This position would support teaching across two programs within our department: Clinical Mental Health and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. Faculty Specialists carry a teaching load of twenty-four (24) credit hours annually. Essential Duties: Teaching Service Other duties as outlined in the faculty contract and handbook Additional Skills Required: Applicants must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Minimum Education Requirements: A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling/Counselor Education from a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accredited program is required. Preferred Education: Minimum Job Experience Requirements: Preferred Qualifications: Ideal applicants will have clinical experience (5 years post master's), a professional counselor identity, higher education teaching experience, and clinical supervision experience. Candidates with expertise in a specific counseling specialty, including addictions or forensic/corrections counseling expertise, are preferred.
