Family Medicine Residency Program Director
The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting a Program Director for a new residency program slated to start July 1, 2025. We are seeking a family physician with at least 5 years of full-time residency teaching experience. This position offers excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine in a university administered residency program, with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. Experience in adult in-patient, office procedures, outpatient Pediatrics and community health care is required. Successful candidate may practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospital in San Bernardino.

The successful applicant must qualify for an academic appointment in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. The successful candidate must possess an M.D., or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and show completion of an ACGME accredited family medicine residency. The successful candidate will also be expected to show a strong commitment to the education of medical students and residents. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in research, scholarly activities, University, and public service appropriate for the academic appointments in Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Series. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospital. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The posted UC salary scales (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 for the salary range. The budgetary range for this position is $115,100 - $305,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://somacademicaffairs.ucr.edu/sites/g/files/rcwecm2346/files/2021-02/2021-02-11HSCP%20Plan.pdf), which may provide eligibility for additional compensation.
