Fellows-in-Residence
The Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University invites applications from a broad range of researchers and practitioners who will work on pressing issues in ethics. Faculty in arts and sciences and professional schools, postdoctoral scholars, practitioners, and researchers from industry, government, and NGOs are eligible to apply. The program is open to any topic pertaining to ethical questions, with a focus on the ethical and political dimensions of disagreement.
Fellows will devote the majority of their time to individual projects and participate in seminars, lectures, and other Center programming. This is a residential fellowship requiring presence in the Boston area at least four working days per week.
Possible joint fellowships with other Harvard centers include the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, Carr-Ryan Center for Human Rights, Center for Bioethics, Hutchins Center for African & African American Research, and Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology and Bioethics.
Stipend: Faculty Fellows up to $80,000; Post-Doctoral Fellows $7,000/month; Practitioner Fellows up to $80,000, plus research allowances.
Basic Qualifications: PhD, professional degree, or 5 years equivalent experience by September 1 of the fellowship year. Advanced English skills required.
