Fellows-in-Residence
The Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University invites applications from researchers and practitioners to work on pressing issues in ethics. Eligible applicants include faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and professionals from various sectors. Projects can cover any serious ethical questions, with priority for those related to disagreement.
Fellows will devote time to individual projects, participate in seminars, and engage in Center programming. The fellowship is residential, requiring presence in the Boston area at least four days per week and at the Center's office three days per week.
Possible joint fellowships are available with centers such as the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, Carr-Ryan Center for Human Rights, Center for Bioethics, Hutchins Center for African & African American Research, and Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology and Bioethics.
Stipends vary: Faculty up to $80,000 (half base salary) with up to $3,000 research allowance; Post-Doctoral $7,000/month with up to $5,000 allowance; Practitioners up to $80,000 based on experience with up to $5,000 allowance.
Basic qualifications include a PhD, professional degree, or 5 years experience. Advanced English skills are required. The program runs from September to May.
