- Full-time, Ongoing position at HEW Level 8.
- Hawkesbury and Parramatta South Campus with flexible working arrangements.
- Salary: $116,636 – $129,479 per annum, plus 17 percent Super and Leave Loading.
Partner strategically to positively affect planning, performance, and long-term value.
The Opportunity
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the University’s financial performance and strategic decision making. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will partner with senior stakeholders to provide expert financial insight and guidance that strengthens planning, forecasting, and resource allocation across diverse client areas.
You will contribute to the development of financial frameworks, modelling tools, and reporting solutions that lift capability and embed a culture of evidence-based decision making. Your work will help ensure that financial strategies align to University priorities, enhance operational effectiveness, and enable long-term value creation.
You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, uplift financial literacy among non-finance teams, and contribute to major projects and change activities that shape the University's future financial landscape.
What Success Looks Like
- Deliver forecasting, planning, and analysis that aligns financial performance with institutional priorities.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on financial risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Design and maintain financial models and reporting frameworks that improve transparency and insight.
- Strengthen capability across client areas through financial literacy support and effective collaboration.
- Contribute financial leadership to strategic initiatives and organisational change programs.

About You
- Postgraduate qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering in complex environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights for senior stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools including TM1, GLW and, or Oracle.
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and public sector financial frameworks.
