Position: Temporary, Full-Time
Location: Remote
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this position is $21.19 - $25.92 per hour
Provides personalized financial aid counseling to prospective, current, and former students across federal, state, institutional, and private funding sources. Serves as a primary point of contact for high-volume student inquiries via phone, email, and virtual appointments, ensuring timely, accurate, and student-centered support.
Manages the financial aid pipeline from application through awarding and disbursement, monitoring student progress, identifying bottlenecks, and supporting timely funding outcomes.
Owns and supports financial aid reporting and data tracking, including generating daily and weekly reports, analyzing trends in application completion and funding timelines, and maintaining data accuracy across systems.
Collaborates cross-functionally with admissions, student accounts, registrar, and other departments to improve processes, enhance the student experience, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Supports scholarship program administration, external agency coordination, and ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve operational effectiveness. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and institutional policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, communication, or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum two years' experience in student financial aid, higher education administration, lending/finance, or in a related field that requires the interpretation and application of regulations and policies. Experience with federal student loan administration, scholarship administration, and borrower counseling is strongly preferred.
