Position Function
Under the direction of the Unit Manager, lead, direct, and assist employees in achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, food quality, service of food, employee efficiency and productivity, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, HACCP standards, Indiana Food Service Code regulations, and rules, policies and procedures of Ball State University.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform food preparation, service, and cashiering duties when assigned.
- Lead, direct, and assist employees in the correct and timely procedures in meeting license/franchise and department standards...
- Orient, coach, and train employees...
- Count the safe and audit safe records...
- Scrutinize inventory levels...
- Oversee and maintain adequate staffing...
- Unlock facility for the days operations...
- Assist in optimizing profitability...
- Assist in executing an effective marketing and promotion program...
- Assist in planning of standard and custom menus...
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- Two (2) years of direct or related work experience in food service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional experience in food service.
- Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
