Job Summary
In this role with Auburn University's College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment, you will perform duties related to forest and facilities management, agriculture and facilities management at the Solon Dixon Center.
Essential Functions
- Performs duties related to forest management (i.e. inventory cruising, marking timber, prescribed fire and other related activities.
- Performs facilities maintenance (i.e. painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc).
- May operate and maintain heavy equipment such as tractors, bulldozers, skid steers, etc.
- May supervise contractors.
- May plant wildlife openings.
- May maintain yards.
- May spray herbicides.
- May interact with user groups leading tours and/or informative talks.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience in forestry, agriculture or maintenance related practices.
Minimum Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of forestry, agriculture, facilities/equipment maintenance or the ability to learn the previous as needed. Ability to perform said duties in extreme and/or stressful environments.
In addition, the candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of employment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.

Salary Range: $35,610 - $49,850
