The Frances Young Tang '61 Associate Curator
at the Tang Museum is an integral member of the curatorial team, focusing on the development, research, digitization, and use of Tang Museum collections.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verifying and completing records of collection artworks, overseeing professional photography, and facilitating the addition of records to the Tang’s public-facing Collections webpage.
- Initiating and developing exhibitions in collaboration with faculty and students and creating new educational links to connect collections, exhibitions, and programs with syllabi and classroom activities.
- Supervising the Curatorial Assistant, being a key member of the Tang’s collections digitization team, and mentoring student interns.
Education:
This position requires a minimum of a MA in an academic discipline related to museums or art history.
Experience:
a minimum of 5 years of related museum experience with a strong professional network; must be able to work effectively on a peer level with faculty; and must possess superb written, oral, and visual skills.
Salary:
$62,400 - $67,000
