Full-Time Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience

The Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the Senior Lecturer rank to contribute to undergraduate teaching, advising and mentoring in the Neuroscience program. The successful candidate will teach foundational courses in Vanderbilt’s research-based undergraduate BS degree major in Neuroscience. The Program is expanding its curriculum in Computational Neuroscience and AI and is seeking to offer new courses in Neural Networks, Brain-Computer Interfaces, Analysis and Modeling of Neural Dynamics, and emerging AI topics in Neuroscience. This position will support the College of Arts & Science strategic initiatives incorporating “computation across the disciplines” and enhance the interface of Neuroscience with the new Vanderbilt College of Connected Computing. In addition, quantitative analytical skills and AI-human interface are areas of high interest in the new Arts & Science Core curriculum.
With 300+ majors, the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience is one of the largest majors in the College of Arts & Science and requires all students to complete laboratory research preparing students for careers in medicine and biomedical research.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related discipline (awarded no later than August 1, 2026).
