Full-Time Teaching Faculty: Biology
Overview
Quinnipiac University and the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences seeks an engaging, student-centered, and knowledgeable educator with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will primarily teach Human Anatomy and Physiology, with the possibility of contributing to introductory biology lecture and laboratory courses. The start date is August 10, 2026. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track teaching position, with appointment at the initial rank of Assistant Teaching Professor or Instructor.
Responsibilities
- Primarily contribute to the lecture and laboratory components of the two-semester Human Anatomy and Physiology course series
- Hold regular office hours for students
- Guide, advise, and mentor students academically and professionally
- Engage in departmental, college, university, and community service activities
Education Requirements
A terminal degree in Biology (or closely related field) is required at the time of employment to be hired at an initial rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. Candidates with a master’s degree in Biology (or closely related field) are eligible to be hired at the initial rank of Instructor.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise and experience teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology, including both lecture and laboratory components
- Proven effectiveness in teaching undergraduate biology lecture and laboratory courses
- Ability to contribute positively within a collaborative academic environment
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning experience for students
