Full-Time Temporary Accounting Faculty
Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance invites applications for a full-time temporary faculty position in Accounting beginning Fall 2026. Responsibilities include a teaching load of three four-credit courses per semester, student advising, a commitment to teaching excellence, and a commitment to continued scholarly and professional growth. The department is seeking a candidate who will teach Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Taxation.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must have an MBA or MS in Accounting
- Candidates must have a track record of teaching excellence as evidenced by student evaluations.
- Interest and ability to teach Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Taxation is required.
- Experience with or a demonstrated willingness to participate in teaching, mentoring, research, or service activities that promote the growth of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese are strongly encouraged to apply.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Massachusetts State College Association (MSCA) bargaining unit at a faculty rank commensurate with experience and credentials. Salary is commensurate with experience and in accordance with Appendix O of the MSCA contract. A reasonable starting salary to expect for a new faculty member appointed to this position at the rank of Assistant Professor is approximately $80,000.
