Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for FUSE Student Researchers in Psychological Science on the Gainesville campus. The Faculty-Undergraduate Summer Engagement Program (FUSE) seeks two researchers who are currently enrolled UNG students for the project Does Victim Identity Matter? The selected candidates will work 20 hours per week for a total of 8 weeks (June 1 - July 24, 2026) on this project under the mentorship of Dr. Connie Ringger in the Department of Psychological Science. The student researchers will also present the findings at least one academic conference. The research assistant will also join the FUSE program to conduct focused and meaningful research, scholarly and creative activities alongside a faculty researcher from June 1 - July 24, 2026. This includes in-person workshops and group meetings once a week for the duration of the program.
Please be advised that any offer of employment is contingent upon your eligibility to work in the United States. The university is aware of recent federal changes that may significantly increase the cost of filing H-1B visa petitions.
As a public institution, the university's ability to cover such costs is subject to budgetary constraints and state funding policies. Therefore, while we remain committed to supporting international faculty hires, we cannot guarantee payment of any newly imposed or increased visa-related fees.
