Job Description
The Missouri Spatial Data Information Service supports the mission and employees of both the State of Missouri Office of Geospatial Information and the University of Missouri. The individual hired for this position will:
- Manage and maintain ESRI ArcGIS Image Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Oversee the ingestion, storage, and processing of large volumes of geospatial imagery, raster, and LiDAR datasets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to image processing, server performance, and data access.
- Monitor server performance and storage usage and proactively recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Perform GIS analysis, spatial modeling, and cartography in support of user and workgroup needs.
- Perform geocoding, georeferencing, spatial analysis, cartography, data editing, and related tasks.
- Interface with customers and system stakeholders to support cross-departmental workflows, resolution of data discrepancies, installation of software updates, and any other issue that may arise.
- Be responsible for management of GIS related data input and workflows ensuring that data layers are constantly updated and accurate for internal and public use.
- Research innovative implementations of GIS to solve department problems.
Shift
Monday-Friday, 7:30 am -4:30pm
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
- Experience with GIS image server management or a similar technical role.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ESRI ArcGIS Online, ESRI Experience Builder, and/or ESRI ArcGIS Image Server.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Anticipated Hiring Range: $21.71-30.90 per hour

Other Information
This position is located on the campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Candidates must live in the state of Missouri or be willing to relocate prior to the hire date. Candidates must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work.
