Description:

Smith College’s lacrosse program seeks a graduate assistant to work in conjunction with the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach and assist with all activities associated with the team starting Fall of 2026. This is a two-year program in which the qualified candidate will learn all aspects of running a successful Division III lacrosse program and also gain experience in teaching and administration. Teaching Awards and Scholarships are available for individuals interested in pursuing a master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Studies with a specialization in coaching women at the intercollegiate level. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree and advanced skill and/or experience coaching. The deadline for applying to the program is March 1, 2026.

Job Duties:

The ideal candidate will assist the head coach and gain experience in all aspects of running a successful Division 3 lacrosse program. Duties include (but are not limited to): Film exchange and film breakdown, individual skill development, opportunity to coach a position group in one or both years, meal orders, gear orders, recruiting, player management, fundraising, budget management, and more.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and playing experience, ideally some coaching experience.

The program connects theory with practice by linking coursework with assistant coaching experiences. All students are in residence for two years.
