Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Medicine the postholder will work closely with the School of Medicine Management Team to lead the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of Primary and Community Care within the MBBS programme.
As the postholder, you will develop a strategy to promote, maintain and expand undergraduate primary care education, including business planning, financial and objective setting, and contributing to the sourcing of external funds for educational innovation and evaluation projects through proposals and bid writing. You will also contribute to the School of Medicine achieving academic objectives through teaching, research, and income generating activities.
You will work with the Head of Partnerships and External Engagement to ensure the sustainable recruitment and quality assurance of Community tutors, whilst also working with the Head of Professional Practice and Development to develop and deliver Community teacher training courses. The role will be the lead contact for any issues relating to external GP tutor GMC issues or student disciplinary issues whilst on community placements.
