Why your role matters

The Health & Safety Data & Information Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the management, and optimisation of Health & Safety data and information systems across UNSW, providing technical advice, training, and support to staff and stakeholders with regard to the Safety systems.

This role is responsible for providing systems support regarding database management, system monitoring, and training. This role will also be responsible for providing data analytics, manipulation of data suitable for reporting, process improvement, quality control and technical Health & Safety data and information expertise.

About You

  • Strong capability and experience relating to data and information management, analytics, document development, and digital technology solutions use and support.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using databases, data analysis software, automation, and programming to interrogate datasets, produce reports, develop dashboards and undertake analysis.
  • Demonstrated skills and technical proficiency in the use of digital enterprise applications and systems MS Office suite, and reporting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting including quality control processes.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and flexibility
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced and the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple teams.
