Hospital Lab Technician 2

Performs duties of a HLT I Phlebotomist. Acts as a team lead and assumes duties of the supervisor in the absence of Lab Supervisor in the outpatient draw lab. Assists with training students in performing blood drawing. Monitor workflow and productivity reports. Helps troubleshoot problems regarding blood drawing. Other tasks include ordering supplies and maintaining temperature logs. Works closely with and under the guidance of Lab Processing Supervisors. Responsible for opening and closing of outpatient draw lab. Performs quick registration of patients and releasing correct Apex orders. This position must perform all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects the UCSF mission, vision and values.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $45.47 - $56.75 (Hourly Rate).
