Manage UWIT's social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook,
and Instagram.
Create engaging content, including graphics, photos, videos,
stories, and written posts.
Maintain a consistent UWIT brand identity across all
communications.
Develop content calendars and coordinate campaign
schedules.
Monitor social media engagement and respond appropriately to
comments and messages.
Analyze engagement metrics and recommend strategies to increase
reach and effectiveness.
Collaborate with UWIT leadership and departments to identify
stories, achievements, events, and initiatives suitable for
promotion.
Create marketing materials for both digital and print
distribution, including:
- Flyers
- Posters
- Brochures
- Event materials
- Infographics
- Digital signage content
- Social media campaigns
Support internal communications initiatives and employee
engagement efforts.
Assist with photography, event promotion, and content
collection.
Coordinate with University Relations and other campus partners
as needed to ensure alignment with institutional branding and
messaging standards.
Executive Support (Approximately 10-20%)
- Provide limited administrative support to the Vice President
for Information Technology & CIO.
- Manage executive calendars using Microsoft Outlook.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate meeting logistics.
- Assist with preparation of presentations, reports, and
communication materials.
- Coordinate travel, event, and meeting arrangements as
assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
and communications.
- Support special projects and administrative functions as
needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing social media accounts.
- Experience creating marketing and communications materials for
multiple audiences.
- Experience using graphic design platforms such as Canva, Adobe
Creative Cloud, or equivalent software.
- Experience designing materials for both print and digital
formats.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
with a variety of stakeholders.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Marketing,
Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a
related field.
- Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or public-sector
communications.
- Experience with social media analytics and reporting
tools.
- Experience creating short-form video content and reels.
- Photography and basic video editing experience.
- Familiarity with university branding and communications
standards.
- Experience supporting senior executives or organizational
leaders.
