Position Summary:

This position supervises and coordinates work activities of the housekeeping employees who maintain the cleanliness and appearance of Academic buildings on campus. This position establishes work task requirements, adjusts schedules and assignments according to changing needs, prioritizes workloads, and performs daily building surveys to identify additional housekeeping needs. This position provides work monitoring and training to team members and makes recommendations to the Administrator. This position also serves as the floor crew team lead. This position must also have a basic knowledge of all cleaning functions and be able to perform them.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skill:

Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, and one year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Where applicable, must be eligible for required certification.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skill:

Prefer employee with valid driver's license It is preferred that the employee be a high school graduate and have some previous experience in the cleaning of public and residential buildings.

Prefer employee with strong communication and leadership skills.

Prior housekeeping supervisory experience preferred.
