OVERVIEW
Courses in Human Communication provide introductory-level study of the theories and skills of public speaking, argument and persuasion, and interpersonal and intercultural communications. Students have an opportunity to perform skills and to research and critically analyze messages in various contexts. The curriculum is designed for students interested in pursuing skills in marketing, public relations, communications, and to satisfy general education requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Master's degree in Speech, Speech Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Rhetoric, Communication, Communication Studies, Speech Communication, or Organizational Communication; OR
- A Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a Master's in Drama/Theater Arts, Mass Communication, or English; OR
- The equivalent*; AND
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and the campus community.
