The opportunity
The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. Interns will earn $17.50-$21.50/hour.
This role is hybrid (1-2 days/week onsite) at 401 Park Drive, Boston. Specific work hours will be determined by the supervisor.
What you'll do
- Support the HR Communications team by helping draft and edit content for newsletters, intranet posts, emails, and digital screens
- Assist with gathering information from HR teams, updating HR Hub content, and supporting logistics for events and campaigns
- Day-to-day expectations include attending meetings, keeping shared documents organized, meeting deadlines, asking questions when needed, and maintaining confidentiality
- Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding
- Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities

Who you are
- You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to organize information
- Interest in communications or HR
- Clear communication and willingness to learn
- Reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to take feedback
- Professionalism and confidentiality
Recruitment process

- Offer decision: We will follow up within one week of your interview. Decisions regarding program acceptance will be made in March.
- Onboarding: Those selected for the internship program will complete onboarding by May to ensure a smooth start to the program. This includes:
- Scheduling an appointment during one of our on-site onboarding days
- Obtaining appropriate work permits and documentation, as needed
- Health records
- Proof of Employment Eligibility
- Media release
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
