When you join us, we give you the freedom to be bold, creative and courageous – with flexible working arrangements that allow you to bring your best. We’ve built a culture that celebrates community, collaboration and innovation, where people love what they do.

What’s the job?

As the Information Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in executing and uplifting SOX (ITGC) compliance across enterprise systems at Torrens Global Education.

Working within Digital IT (IT Ops), you’ll be responsible for ensuring technology controls across access management, privileged access, and system activity are operating effectively, well-documented, and audit-ready year-round.

This is a hands-on, technical compliance role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across systems, validating access, supporting audits, and improving how compliance is delivered.

You’ll also contribute to broader compliance initiatives aligned to ISO 27001 and organisational risk frameworks, helping strengthen overall security maturity.

Day-to-day accountabilities

SOX / ITGC Compliance & Access Governance

  • Execute and maintain SOX IT General Controls (ITGC) across systems
  • Lead quarterly user access reviews (UAR) across platforms (e.g. Active Directory, Salesforce, SQL, Power BI)
  • Manage user provisioning, access changes, and identity lifecycle controls
  • Ensure access aligns with defined roles and permissions frameworks

Audit & Assurance

  • Prepare and provide audit evidence for internal and external audits (AU & US stakeholders)
  • Support audit walkthroughs, testing cycles, and remediation tracking
  • Investigate and respond to control failures, documenting outcomes and fixes

Technical Validation & Control Testing

  • Analyse logs and system activity to validate appropriate access usage
  • Perform control testing across access, logging, and system controls
  • Ensure controls are operating effectively and consistently

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate compliance processes
  • Enhance how evidence is captured and maintained
  • Support uplift of control maturity and audit readiness

Broader Compliance Support

  • Contribute to ISO 27001 alignment and governance activities
  • Maintain registers (risks, controls, audit findings, actions)
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities
  • Promote awareness and best practices across teams

Who you are:

SOX / ITGC Experience (Non-negotiable)

  • Hands-on experience with SOX compliance and ITGC controls
  • Experience supporting audits, evidence collection, and remediation
  • Strong understanding of user access reviews and identity controls

Technical & Systems Knowledge

  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM)
  • Exposure to enterprise systems (e.g. AD, cloud, SaaS platforms)
  • Ability to interpret logs and validate system access/activity

Analytical & Detail-Oriented

  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail in evidence and control validation

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Comfortable working with IT teams, auditors, and business stakeholders
  • Able to clearly communicate technical findings

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in IT security and compliance
  • Degree in IT, Cyber Security, or related field
  • Certifications (Security+, CISA, CISM, etc.) are desirable

What success looks like

  • SOX controls are embedded, consistent, and audit-ready year-round
  • User access reviews are efficient, accurate, and well-documented
  • Reduced audit friction through better evidence and processes
  • Improved automation and maturity of compliance activities
  • Strong collaboration across Digital IT, Risk, and Audit teams

Why this role is different

  • Strong focus on SOX + hands-on access governance (not just policy)
  • Opportunity to uplift and mature compliance processes
  • Work across global stakeholders and enterprise systems
  • Broad exposure across risk, and IT operations
