Use educational technology tools (such as Articulate Storyline,
Camtasia, Adobe Suite, etc.) to create online learning content that
engages students and supports accessible learning and regular and
substantive interaction (RSI)
Assist faculty SMEs in making sure their course content is
aligned and properly scaffolded
Assist faculty SMEs in making sure their online courses meet
Title IV requirements for regular and substantive interaction (RSI)
and federal and state requirements for web accessibility, such as
WCAG 2.2
Evaluate online courses for pedagogical quality and other
standards (accessibility, RSI, etc.) using proven rubrics (OSCQR,
Quality Matters) and supporting faculty through any necessary
changes
Manage multiple build timelines, keeping faculty on track
Work alongside course builders, instructional designers, and
other educational professionals to provide quality support for
online education
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
through a project from start to finish
- The ability to creatively apply technologies and multimedia
solutions to real-world education or training challenges
- Knowledge of New York State and U.S. Federal accessibility
standards
- Ability to communicate pedagogical concepts to technical and
non-technical clients/audiences
- Knowledge of instructional design models (backwards design,
ADDIE, etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Customer service experience
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing
deadlines
- Experience working with learning management systems
(Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
Preferred:
- A Master's degree in education, educational technology,
instructional design, or a related field
- Experience using HTML/CSS
- Experience building courses in Brightspace
- Experience modifying learning materials to meet accessibility
standards
