The instructor shall meet the standards/curriculum that he or she will teach. Teach the course curriculum as outlined. Instructors shall also use the companion instructor's guide and workbook to prepare students to sit for National and State exams. Maintain accurate records on all students, including but not limited to attendance records, quiz/assessment results, schedules and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content. Evaluate and document student progress through testing, observation and assessment of skills to determine whether each student has satisfactorily completed each course. Communicate effectively with students, and all those affiliated with the course, including all staff at clinical training facilities and MCCC staff. Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and concepts of good patient care. Potential to teach daytime and evening hours. The instructor may also need to cater to serving a high school population Perform all other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Please note that assigned tasks and responsibilities span both campuses for all MCCC positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting including the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Evidence of clinical competence in the area of instruction
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule to meet educational requirements.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Cultural awareness and competency demonstrated by working with and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and veterans including those with different levels of academic preparation, varying physical and learning abilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• At least one year experience in lesson planning, lesson delivery, evaluation and/or remediation in a health care setting with experience gained in such positions as in-service coordinator, staff educator, or other health personnel.
• Two to four years of instructional experience related to field of instruction
• Thorough knowledge of developing relevant curricula
• Adhere to all policies and procedures mandated by The center for Continuing Studies
• Knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
• Willingness and desire to provide a superior experience to our students
