Instructor/Assistant Professor Accelerated BSN - Amarillo
Position Description
Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
Major/Essential Functions
- Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
- Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
- Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.
- Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.
- Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated awareness of current issues/trends in nursing and higher education.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or 50% completion for MSN.
- All degrees must be from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required for clinical teaching roles.
- Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
