Job Description
Full-Time, Faculty, 9-month Academic position - Criminal Justice Faculty. Full-Time, due-process, benefited Faculty position beginning Fall 2026.
The faculty member will teach, engage in professional development, and serve the college. Programs combine classroom knowledge with real-world applications in law enforcement, judicial, corrections, psychology, sociology, forensic science.
Teaching & Professional Obligations
- Interact with students, provide clear instruction, design learning experiences (in-person & online).
- Assess learning, provide high-quality instruction, use learning-centered practices.
- Develop curriculum, adopt new methods, maintain office hours, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Scholarly & Creative Activities & Service
- Professional development: certifications, conferences, coursework.
- College service: advising, committees, recruitment, curriculum review.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD/J.D./Master's in Criminal Justice or related + 18 grad hours + 2,000 hours experience in last 7 years.
- Qualify for full-time vocational credential (contact landon.loyd@aims.edu); 4,000+ hours experience preferred 8,000-10,000.
- Teaching ability, computer literacy, positive attitude to varied modalities, team player.
