Instructor, Degree Completion Programs (Temporary Pool)
Job Description
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions:
The Bachelor's degree completion programs in Benerd College at the University of the Pacific invite applications for a part-time, non-tenure-track position as an Instructor in the Organizational Leadership, General Studies, and Healthcare Administration and Leadership programs.
- Offer high-quality, student-centered instruction for an 8-week course in a hybrid format with in-person meetings on the Stockton campus for three hours at the start and end of each 8-week term.
- Provide meaningful asynchronous contact hours delivered online to meet credit hour requirements.
- Create and deliver course content and assessment activities that are relevant, applicable, and reflect the current state of knowledge and practice in your discipline.
- Ensure syllabus, Canvas website and other aspects of the course are consistent with University policy, ADA standards, and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree or earned doctorate with relevant background to the course(s) being taught
- A minimum of two years work experience in your discipline or experience teaching in programs for adult learners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience offering high-quality, student-centered asynchronous online/hybrid courses.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
