ANNOUNCEMENT OF A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF INSTRUCTOR (M/F) – SURVEYING AND CARTOGRAPHY
at the Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław
I hereby announce a competition for the position of instructor (F/M) in the teaching staff group, on a full-time basis, at the Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław. The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set out in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz.U. [Journal of Laws] of 2024, item 1571 as amended).
Position description / scope of duties:
- teaching classes in the Surveying and Cartography degree programme,
- preparing and updating teaching materials,
- developing students' practical skills using modern methods, technologies, surveying instruments and software used in surveying and cartography,
- supervising the Surveying Metrology Laboratory of the Surveying and Cartography degree programme, including the surveying instruments located therein,
- participating in organisational activities related to the delivery of the teaching process in the Surveying and Cartography degree programme,
- continuous improvement of professional and teaching competencies.
1. Qualification requirements:
- holding the professional title of Master of Science in Engineering (MSc Eng.) in Surveying and Cartography or having an educational background corresponding to the scope of the planned teaching duties,
- having documented professional experience in the surveying industry,
- very good knowledge of the design, operating principles, handling and practical application of surveying instruments,
- practical knowledge of specialised software used for processing surveying and spatial data,
- having the knowledge, qualifications and professional competencies required to teach practical classes in Surveying and Cartography,
- good command of spoken and written Polish, sufficient to conduct classes,
- meeting the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science.
Additional advantages are:
- holding professional qualifications in the field of surveying and cartography,
- experience in conducting classes, training courses or professional instruction,
- experience in the use of modern surveying and geoinformation technologies.

- copy of a document confirming the award of the professional title of Master of Science in Engineering (MSc Eng.),

- copies of documents confirming professional qualifications – if the candidate holds any,
- declaration made by the candidate that the Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jaroslaw will be the primary place of work in the event of winning the competition,
- statement of availability.

Foreign language documents submitted to the competition must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator. In the event of obtaining a professional title outside Poland, a document confirming the equivalence of the obtained title with its Polish equivalent shall be attached (if the issuance of such a document is provided for by the applicable legal regulations). Good knowledge of Polish is required.
Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The Academy reserves the right to cancel the competition procedure at any stage without giving any reason. The outcome of the competition, which will be announced by 30 September 2026, does not constitute the establishment of an employment relationship with Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław in Jarosław. The final decision shall be made by the Rector Magnificus.
Failure to inform the candidate(s) of the results of the competition will be tantamount to rejection of their offer. The person selected through the competition procedure for employment, who will be entrusted with tasks related to activities covered by the protection of minors, shall be required to submit a certificate of no criminal record issued by the National Criminal Register (KRK).
