The Graham School of Business at York College of Pennsylvania, a vibrant, student-centered institution, invites applications for an energetic and engaging full-time appointment in Marketing at the rank of instructor, beginning August, 2026. The faculty are a collaborative, collegial community of educators who focus on providing students with real-world experiential learning and enriching relationships, as well as a strong culture of excellence. The Graham School of Business maintains ACBSP accreditation, and features 19 majors, 23 minors and 5 graduate programs.
The marketing program at York College of Pennsylvania is designed to ensure that students benefit from the rigorous business core curriculum, as well as essential fundamental marketing courses. There are also many elective opportunities to allow for students to customize their academic path towards their career aspirations. Close student-faculty relationships enhance students' personal and professional decision-making. Consistent with the culture of the Graham School of Business, the marketing courses are highly experiential, often collaborating with outside industry organizations. There is also a robust collegiate chapter of AMA which offers additional enrichment to students.
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality in-person, undergraduate marketing classes (a 4/4 teaching load is standard). The successful candidate will teach Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and at least one marketing elective course (to be determined based on the Instructor's expertise). The Instructor of Marketing will also serve as an academic advisor for students, and engage in service consistent with the institution's mission and the Graham School's accreditation that contributes to the College and community. This position will require on-going professional development. The Instructor may also have the opportunity to teach other business classes as needed, including potentially at the graduate level.
- Teach four 3-credit face-to-face courses each semester (fall and spring).
- Advise undergraduate students in marketing.
- Engage in service to the department, school, college, and community.
- Represent the department and school at events, including recruitment events.
- Engage in relevant professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Undergraduate or graduate degree in marketing, preferred.
- Earned related business graduate degree (e.g., MBA).
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in a marketing position that will translate well to the classroom.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness; experience specifically teaching college marketing courses preferred.
