Teaching one or more courses in Speech-Language Hearing.
Courses may be required or electives in undergraduate or graduate
programs and range from 1-4 credit hours.
All instructors are expected to collaborate with colleagues, be
current in the field, and are required to adhere to departmental,
school/college, and university policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
For instruction of Undergraduate-Level Courses:
- MA in Speech Language Pathology/clinical doctorate in audiology
or relevant field OR BA in a relevant discipline & 5 years of
related experience
For instruction of Graduate-Level Courses:
- Master's in Speech Language Pathology OR Master's in relevant
discipline and 7 years of related experience.
- Record of research, scholarship or achievement in
discipline.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline
area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge
and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The
level of degree is based on accreditation requirements,
institutional standards of academic and professional excellence,
alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the
credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university
community.
Preferred Qualifications
- SLPD or Ph.D. or AUD or MA-SLP in Speech-Language-Pathology or
Audiology or related discipline.
- Evidence or testimony regarding excellent teaching ability at
the university level.
- Experience teaching Speech-Language-Hearing content.
- Evidence or testimony regarding excellent teaching ability at
the university level.
