About the Team:
VU Global is Victoria University's strategic portfolio dedicated to enhancing its international engagement and expanding its global presence. It aims to broaden the University's partnerships with international universities, research institutions, industry stakeholders, and government bodies, with a view to enhancing global student participation within a dual-sector educational environment.
About the Role:
The International Student Officer provides crucial front line customer service to prospective international students and general members of the public, ensuring excellent, accurate and consistent service across multiple channels – face-to-face, online and via telephone.
Position Key Duties
Provide excellent customer service and follow-up for enquiries received
Provide general advice and assistance relating to international student requirements, ensuring they are sufficiently informed of their compliance obligations
Support international student conversion campaigns
Accurately update records and databases
Assist with the processing of applications and payments, plus other general administrative duties
Salary: HEP 5 - $79,135 to $90,899 - Plus 17% Super
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract until 6 March 2027
Hours: 36.75 (1.0 FTE) per week
Location: Hybrid 3:2 - City Campus

About You:
You have proven experience in customer service where you provided high-level service across multiple channels. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt these to a wide range of audiences will be crucial.
You will also possess:
Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, approachable manner
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with technology and ability to pick up internal systems quickly
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as a part of a team
Experience in the international education sector highly advantageous.
