VU Global is Victoria University's strategic portfolio dedicated to enhancing its international engagement and expanding its global presence. It aims to broaden the University's partnerships with international universities, research institutions, industry stakeholders, and government bodies, with a view to enhancing global student participation within a dual-sector educational environment.
About the Role:
The Study Abroad Coordinator ensures that our inbound and outbound student exchange activities / programs are efficiently implemented and operating and advocates / promotes the importance of these experiences for VU students.
Position Key Duties
Reporting to the Study Abroad Manager, the position is also responsible for:
Coordination of student exchange programs and activities
Provision of high level customer service and support to students
Administration of student mobility scholarships, loans and grants
Marketing activities
Preparation of reports including status updates, acquittals and statistics
Coordination and participation in events
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with our colleges, central services, partner institutions, government and non-government agencies
Salary: HEP 7 $101,288 - $109,639 — Plus Superannuation 17%
Employment Type: Full time, Continuing
Hours: 36.75/1.0FTE
Location: Hybrid 3:2 – City Campus

About You:
You will have proven experience in a similar position within education abroad / student mobility and a passion for supporting students in their educational journey.
You will also possess:
Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills and ability manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Experience working with external and government agencies relating to grants and scholarships and the administration of such programs
Experience in delivery of engaging events and promotional activities
High level written communication skills including experience in preparing reports and drafting material
Valid Working With Children Check
Experience or knowledge with university admissions processes, or past participation in a study abroad or similar experience is highly desirable.
The University is a Child Safe organisation. You will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
