Joint Professor of Allied Health Research
About the role:
The University of Canberra (UC) Faculty of Health, in partnership with Canberra Health Services (CHS), is seeking an outstanding and visionary academic leader for a Joint Professor of Allied Health Research appointment.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of allied health research, practice, and education across academia and the public health sector. As a joint appointee, you will work across both institutions, driving excellence in research, fostering collaboration, and translating evidence into improved clinical outcomes for the ACT community and beyond. Providing strategic leadership in allied health research across UC and CHS, the appointed professor of Allied health will build and strengthen a vibrant allied health research culture and network leading in high-impact research agenda. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving translation of research into clinical practice, improving service delivery and patient outcomes
- Fostering collaboration across disciplines, sectors, and institutions
- Developing national and international partnerships that inform innovative clinical practice
- Working closely with senior leaders within CHS and UC to strengthen collaboration between the 2 entities
- Contributing to strategic planning, mentoring staff, and enhancing research capability across the allied health workforce.
- Lead innovative, externally funded research programs in allied health and maintain an outstanding personal research profile and academic standing
- Represent UC and CHS in senior internal and external forums
