Research Position: Junior Research Fellow
Title of the project: Brillouin scattering mechanism-based DFoS sensors and its mathematical modeling to design and validate the sensors for SHM of the aircraft structures
Sponsoring/Funding Agency: AR&DB, DRDO, Ministry of Defence
Essential Qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech in ECE with minimum marks of 60% (or 6 CGPA on a scale of 10).
- M.E/M.Tech/MS in ECE (optics, or photonics, or allied specialization) with minimum marks of 60% (or 6 CGPA on a scale of 10). (Current second year M.E/M.Tech students can also apply)
- The candidate preferably has a GATE score, whose dissertation work is in fiber optics, light scattering principles, fiber optics sensors, optical signal processing, an allied area, and is willing to work in structural health monitoring such as temperature and strain detection of aircraft structure
Project Duration: 3 years
Stipend: Rs 37,000/- per month first two years and Rs 42,000/- per month during third year
