"Junior Research Scientist"

NYU Wagner prepares the world's public service leaders to translate ideas into actions that have an effective and lasting impact. Our students use that to improve cities across the globe, in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

NYU Wagner currently has a full-time opportunity for a researcher to participate in a series of studies and reports about the New York State health care system, social determinants of health, and Medicaid innovation.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide general research support
• Manage and analyze data/graphics using STATA software and Excel
• Conduct systematic literature reviews for research projects
• Use survey data, publicly available government data, and claims data
• Summarize project results
• Write, review, and edit various materials for publication

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in public health, public policy, economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative research, including statistical analysis and data visualization
• Proficiency with STATA and Excel; familiarity with R or Python is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
