Junior Researcher MKP
Job Summary
The junior researcher will work on a research project aimed at reducing heart-related movement anxiety and increasing physical activity in patients with acute coronary syndrome by enhancing participation in cardiac rehabilitation through a 'readiness intervention' and gradually phasing out current physiotherapeutic cardiac rehabilitation with telemonitoring. This is a collaboration between the Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology and the Elisabeth-Tweesteden Hospital. Activities will take place both at the university and the hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Heidi Hermans.
Responsibilities
- Collecting research data in the hospital through focus groups, interviews with patients, and (online) surveys.
- Recruiting and planning participants.
- Managing and curating collected data, including data management, cleaning data, performing quality checks, and backing up data.
- Maintaining contacts with involved researchers and healthcare professionals.
- Optionally, analyzing collected data and presenting it in scientific articles and presentations at (inter)national conferences.
Qualifications and Requirements
- You have completed a (research) master's degree in social sciences, such as Medical Psychology or Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- You are skilled at organizing research and are conscientious, independent, proactive, flexible, ambitious, and able to work under time pressure.
- Experience with data collection from clinical populations is an advantage.
- You have an affinity for research into psychological factors (such as anxiety) in heart patients.
- You are confident and possess great perseverance.
- You are social, communicative, and good at collaborating with others.
- You have good oral and written expression skills in both Dutch and English.
What the Employer Offers
- A fixed-term contract for 13 months at 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week).
- Salary ranging from €3,546 to €5,537 gross per month for a full-time position, based on experience and the UFO profile Researcher 4, scale 10 of the Dutch Universities Collective Labour Agreement.
- Holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual income.
- 41 vacation days per year for a full-time position.
