Your Role on the Team
Under minimal supervision, oversees the activities and staff of a laboratory including the supervision of entry / intermediate level research and / or instructional associates and laboratory support staff. Typically works in small to medium or single facility laboratory. Supervises the development and execution of major or multi-disciplinary research projects or instructional and experiment design.
What It Takes to be Successful
- Prior experience in a research setting, with a strong understanding of IRB processes and regulatory compliance
- Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling to effectively motivate others.
- Skills to evaluate issues and identify resolutions.
- Strong service orientation with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
- Experience with multi-site research coordination and grant management
- Knowledge of institutional compliance policies and internal controls.
- Familiarity with grant management or research funding administration
