Laboratory Researcher IV
Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory Researcher IV for DLS Molecular Biology & Biochem. This position works under supervision of lab head and PhD scientists, and as part of a collaborative multi-institution team.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Performs a variety of tasks devoted to understanding the biology of healthy aging and screening for health-promoting interventions using the C. elegans genetics model.
- Oversees laboratory strain collection inputs and outputs with guidance from the Principle Investigator.
- Performs professional entry-level experiments using standard basic techniques.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, including biochemistry, biology, genetics, or molecular genetics or a related scientific field or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant research experience in a laboratory setting emphasizing precision in media preparation.
