About the Opportunity

Based at our purpose-built clinical teaching facilities in Mackay, you will support the practical delivery of high-quality nursing education through:

• Supporting technical service delivery and equipment for undergraduate practical classes, intensives and skills sessions
• Preparing and maintaining stock levels, ensuring consumables and teaching resources are readily available to meet timetable requirements
• Maintain equipment and simulation facilities, ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with established procedures and safety and hygiene legislation.
• Contributing to a safe, organised and effective practical learning environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Technical experience with clinical and simulation laboratories, relevant to health professional education and training.
• Demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation and its practical application within a laboratory.
• Informed analytical and problem-solving skills to judge shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines, taking corrective action.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a high-volume environment
• Effective computer and data entry skills using the Microsoft Office suite and ability to adapt to the use of new software packages with high attention to detail.
• Ability to meet manual handling demands and work flexibly
