Conducting histological experiments using insect tissues.
Documenting specimens using compound and confocal
microscopy.
Maintaining Drosophila and Tribolium stocks.
Assisting with general laboratory organization and day-to-day
research activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a closely related
field.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical skills in molecular and developmental
biology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a
research laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates with an M.S. degree in
Biology or a related field.
- Prior research experience in insect genetics, developmental
biology, or molecular biology.
- Experience working with Drosophila, Tribolium, or
other model insects.
- Experience with microscopy, histology, or molecular cloning
techniques.
