"5000 Criminal Justice Forensic Psychology Fac"

Assistant Professor or Instructional Faculty for Criminal Justice & Forensic Psychology, Half-Time Position: Primary responsibility is teaching undergraduate criminal justice courses, some of which meet requirements for both Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology majors. This position will instruct two courses per semester during fall and spring semesters and will assist in academic advising and internship coaching. Courses include Criminology, Corrections, Juvenile Delinquency, Criminal Investigation, and Ethics, Communications and Reporting. The successful candidate will be able to champion the programs and teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university’s Statement of Faith. • Develop course schedules and syllabi.
• Identify and meet the learning needs of students.
• Perform biblical integration in line with Corban’s Statement of Faith.
• Develop and administer assessments for students’ progress and competence.
• Work closely with—and maintain consistent communication with—the program director to insure instructional alignment with program outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

Education: Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or other Master's Degree combined with significant criminal justice work experience.

Experience:  Significant experience in law enforcement firearms training and/or certification as a firearms instructor is required and college teaching experience is preferred. Candidate should have strong teaching and leadership skills and have a demonstrated record of active participation in professional organizations. 

Character: The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the University’s statement of faith, be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline of criminal justice and forensic psychology and be willing to invest him/herself in the development of undergraduate students. The criminal justice and forensic psychology programs place great value in collaboration and, therefore, desire candidates who have the same teamwork and collaborative values. The successful candidate must teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university’s Statement of Faith.
