Lecturer – American Literature
The Department of English at Binghamton University invites applications for a lecturer in the field of 20th or 21st century American literatures. We invite a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated research record and should have experience teaching a broadly diverse student body. Candidates should be prepared to teach the department's American Literature survey as well as undergraduate courses in their area of specialization.
This is a full-time lecturer position beginning in Fall 2026 for a one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal. The teaching load for this position is 3/3.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in English or a related field by August 17, 2026
- Experience teaching American literature at the college level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant record of scholarly publication
