Appointment will be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level depending on experience, research profile, and academic leadership capability.

Who you are

You are an engaged and forward-thinking academic with expertise in Construction Management or a closely related discipline. You are passionate about teaching excellence and committed to preparing graduates for evolving industry demands.

You bring a collaborative mindset to build partnerships with industry and academic peers and a commitment to develop a research profile with real-world impact in an inclusive and student-centred environment. At the Senior Lecturer level, you will also demonstrate academic leadership, mentoring capability, and an established research track record with growing recognition.

What you'll do

You will play a key role in shaping graduates equipped for the future construction industry and strengthening UniSQ’s applied research and industry engagement capability.

This will be your opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching using contemporary, student-centred approaches and digital learning technologies, conduct impactful research that contributes to knowledge, industry outcomes, and build and maintain strong industry and community partnerships.

In Your First 6–12 Months, you will:

  • Establish effective teaching delivery and positive student engagement
  • Contribute to course and program development
  • Initiate or expand research outputs and collaborations
  • Build connections with industry stakeholders
  • Begin contributing to academic service and team collaboration

What will help you succeed

Essential

  • A doctoral qualification (or equivalent accreditation) in Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience with evidence of student-centred, high-quality learning outcomes
  • A developing (Lecturer) or established (Senior Lecturer) research track record, including publications and/or applied research outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively

Highly Regarded

  • Experience engaging with industry, government, or professional bodies
  • Success in securing or contributing to external research funding
  • Experience supervising higher degree research students
  • Leadership experience in curriculum or program development (Senior Lecturer level)

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (37.5 hours/week)

Salary:

Lecturer (Construction Management) - Total remuneration range $133,256 to $157,504 pa (includes salary range of $112,381 to $132,831 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)

Senior Lecturer (Construction Management) - Total remuneration range $162,350 to $186,598 pa (includes salary range of $136,917 to $157,367 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
