The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is a premier educational institution focused on academic excellence. The Department of Computer Science offers ABET-accredited classes and has over 500 majors. We are seeking Lecturers in Game Design and Development to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Pay Range: Generally starting at $4,000-$5,500 per 3-credit hour course, prorated based on experience and course type. Work location is determined by course modality: on-campus, online, or hybrid.

Summary
The College of Engineering & Applied Science at UCCS will maintain a pool of part-time Lecturers. Appointments are semester-by-semester and may include courses such as Introduction to Game Development (using GameMaker Studio 2), Introductory Programming for Game Developers (using C# and Unity), and other special topics in game design and programming.
Essential Functions
Provide instruction to students, including class and lab preparation, administering exams, grading, and maintaining office hours. Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess student progress. Be familiar with learning management systems like Canvas. Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Game Art, or a related field, at least 3 years of experience designing and developing video games, and preferably four months of teaching experience and commercial game development experience.
