Overview

The School of Engineering at Edith Cowan University (ECU) was established in 1992. It has been one of the fastest growing engineering schools in the nation with a strong track record of success in developing and delivering quality undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs that have strong alignment with industry and promote community and environmental sustainability. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in chemical, civil, civil and environmental, mechanical, mechatronics, electrical power, electrical and renewable energy, electronics and communications, instrumentation control and automation, computer systems, petroleum, and maritime engineering. Furthermore, Engineering at ECU was rated as above world standard in the 2018 Excellence in Research for Australia evaluation by the Australia Research Council. The School provides a supportive and collegial work environment and enjoys outstanding teaching and research facilities that are among the best in Australia.

In the discipline of Electrical Engineering, the School offers a broad range of undergraduate, postgraduate by coursework and higher degrees by research programs. The School is now seeking to appoint a candidate who can make a significant contribution to the School’s world-class research and teaching activities. The successful applicant will have a strong track record in research and teaching in electrical power systems. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to leverage on the unique and world-class research facilities towards industry collaboration and high impact research outcomes.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for this position in Electrical Power Systems. This opportunity is open-ended, inviting dynamic and innovative educators to contribute to our leading academic programs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence, research, and community engagement in the field of Electrical Power Systems.
